Why capable women still hold themselves back at work

Breaking through your inner glass ceiling

This live 90-minute workshop is for ambitious women who know they are capable of more, but can still find themselves second-guessing, holding back, overthinking, or not fully trusting their own judgment in the moments that matter.

It's not about becoming more confident on the surface. It's about understanding the hidden patterns underneath, so you can feel more grounded, clear, and free in how you move forward.

Is this for you?

You may already know you are capable. But something still seems to hold you

back in ways that are hard to explain.

  • You hesitate before speaking up

  • You overthink decisions you were actually qualified to make

  • You hold back in difficult conversations

  • You work hard, but still feel unseen or under-recognized

  • You replay conversations afterwards

  • You doubt your own judgment

  • You say yes when you really mean no

  • You know you have more to offer, but do not always show up as fully as you could

If that feels familiar, you are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you.

These patterns can be understood.

A programme that works

"The glass ceiling workshop was incredibly thought-provoking and uplifting.

I came away feeling inspired, more self-aware, and genuinely excited to keep learning and growing.

A really positive and energising experience – I can’t wait to learn more! "

Sarah Chamberlin

Entrepreneurial Businesswoman

"I completed a coaching programme with Rachel focused on building my confidence in the workplace, and it was truly a transformative experience. Not only did Rachel guide me through the practical aspects, but she also explained the science behind how our minds work, which I found incredibly insightful.

Even in weeks when I felt like I had nothing to discuss, Rachel encouraged me to look deeper beneath the surface. No matter how small something seemed, we always uncovered something valuable that supported my growth.

From the very first session, my mindset began to shift, and a confidence I never thought I had started to appear.

I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking to grow professionally and strengthen their confidence in the workplace."

— Steph Squires-Leek

Marketing Specialist, Bugaboo

"I have been in an operational role for more than 10 years, and have felt, for many of those years, like an imposter.

During the workshop ‘How to Break Through Your Inner Glass Ceiling’  Rachel was thoughtful, kind and understanding in allowing me to explore my self-awareness and offered techniques in boosting confidence when in my professional role.

I would 100% recommend anyone to join the program who feels like I did, it has changed my outlook on myself and in the professional role I hold."

— Emma Brown

This is not a typical workshop

This is not a motivational talk or a list of tips. It is a reflective, experiential session grounded in psychology and real human behavior.

Rather than performing confidence, you will be invited to understand what is actually happening internally — the patterns shaping how you show up, hold back, and relate to your own abilities.

Many women describe feeling quietly relieved when they hear others name the same internal experiences they have been carrying privately. There is something powerful in realizing you are not the only one — and that what you have been experiencing has a shape, a logic, and a way through.

This workshop is designed to help you feel seen, understood, and clearer about what has been quietly influencing you.

About Rachel

Rachel Bishop spent more than 30 years in corporate environments, where she saw first-hand how many accomplished women quietly navigate self-doubt, hesitation, and an inner sense that they are somehow not quite enough — despite all evidence to the contrary.

She holds an MSc in Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology and a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy — combining evidence-based frameworks with deeply human insight.

Over time, Rachel became fascinated by a question she saw repeated everywhere: why do so many capable, accomplished women still doubt themselves? That question shaped the work she does today — helping women understand what's really going on beneath the surface, so they can stop holding themselves back and start trusting what they already know.
